Stand In The Gap With Saint Paschal Baylon 5/17/2024 In Paschal’s lifetime the Spanish empire in the New World was at the height of its power, though France and England were soon to reduce its influence. The 16th century has been called the Golden Age of the Church in Spain, for it gave birth to Ignatius of Loyola, Francis Xavier, Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Peter of Alcantara, Francis Solano, and Salvator of Horta.
Paschal’s Spanish parents were poor and pious. Between the ages of seven and 24 he worked as a shepherd and began a life of mortification. He was able to pray on the job and was especially attentive to the church bell, which rang at the Elevation during Mass. Paschal had a very honest streak in him. He once offered to pay owners of crops for any damage his animals caused!
In 1564, Paschal joined the Friars Minor and gave himself wholeheartedly to a life of penance. Though he was urged to study for the priesthood, he chose to be a brother. At various times he served as porter, cook, gardener, and official beggar.
His jobs included serving as a cook and gardener as well as the official beggar who went around asking for alms. As porter his duties entailed tending to the poor who came to the friars' door. Paschal gained a reputation for his remarkable humility, unfailing courtesy, and generosity.
Paschal was careful to observe the vow of poverty. He would never waste any food or anything given for the use of the friars. When he was porter and took care of the poor coming to the door, he developed a reputation for great generosity. The friars sometimes tried to moderate his liberality!

Stand In The Gap With Us And Saint Margaret of Cortona 5/16/2024  Saint of the Day 16 May: Margaret of Cortona, penitent, was born in Loviana in Tuscany in 1247.
Margaret was born of farming parents in Laviano, Tuscany. Her mother died when Margaret was seven; life with her stepmother was so difficult that Margaret moved out. For nine years she lived with Arsenio, though they were not married, and she bore him a son. In those years, she had doubts about her situation. Somewhat like Saint Augustine, she prayed for purity—but not just yet.
One day she was waiting for Arsenio and was instead met by his dog. The animal led Margaret into the forest where she found Arsenio murdered. This crime shocked Margaret into a life of penance. She and her son returned to Laviano, where she was not well received by her stepmother. They then went to Cortona, where her son eventually became a friar.
In 1277, three years after her conversion, Margaret became a Franciscan tertiary. Under the direction of her confessor, who sometimes had to order her to moderate her self-denial, she pursued a life of prayer and penance at Cortona. There she established a hospital and founded a congregation of tertiary sisters.
She also showed extraordinary love for the mysteries of the Eucharist and the Passion of Jesus Christ.

The Angel of Portugal Eucharistic Miracle In the spring of 1916, Lucia and her two cousins, Jacinta and Francisco, were tending their sheepand had just finished their shortened version of the Rosary.
A figure approached them through the sky coming from the east — a trans­parent, luminous figure of a youth of perhaps fourteen or fifteen years.
The children were amazed and overwhelmed by what Lucia would describe as the “supernatural atmosphere” that penetrated and surrounded them. As she recounts in her memoir, the angel spoke to them words of reassurance and authority:

Leaving the Chalice and the Host suspended in the air, he prostrated himself down on the ground beside the children and made them repeat three times this prayer:
“Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly, and I offer You the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences with which He, Himself is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg you for the conversion of poor sinners.”

I have been 100% Virtus Trained from Kansas, Missouri, Arkansaw, Texas, Louisiana, Tennesee,The Archdiocese of the Military.
John Benko thought he found a means to attack asking "Are child stalkers qualified to teach Catholicism?" Benko is showing his Democrate ways of asserting his false Biden agenda against Deepertruth and the Catholic Faith.

The Virgin Mary in WIGRATZBAD, GERMANY

Beloved Lady of Victory. In 1919, after Antonie Radler contracted the Spanish influenza, the Blessed Virgin appeared to her, laid her hands on her, and healed her. Later she was imprisoned and was freed through the intercession of Our Lady who appeared to Cecilia Geyer, who she asked that a chapel be built.
 
At Wigratzbad in Swabia (southern Germany), on February 22, 1938, around 6:30 am, the Virgin appeared to Caecilia Geyer and said:
"Build a chapel for me here and I will trample the head of the infernal serpent. People will come here in droves, and I will pour torrents of graces upon them … Go now, before the Blessed Sacrament to worship my Divine Son."
"Where should I go? At this time, the Blessed Sacrament is nowhere exposed," I answered… Then, before my astonished eyes a chapel appeared at the place that had been designated. Inside, on the altar, Jesus was enthroned in a magnificent monstrance which projected marvelous rays of dazzling light from all sides."
Wigratzbad had already received a visit from the Virgin Mary in 1936, when she appeared to a sick woman, Antonie Radler, who was miraculously cured in the octave of the Immaculate Conception, on December 15, 1936. Since then, Our Lady has been venerated under the title of The Immaculate Conception, Mother of Victory.

Temptation in the Desert I was wondering what to write tonight and I was simply looking for something that might catch my eye. Well, I think I found it. Lent is a very important season as we reflect on our lives. I recall Jesus "was lead by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil." What was the main temptations? " If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread." "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down." "All these I shall give to you, if you will prostate yourself and worship me." These temptations recorded in the Gospel of Matthew 4:3-11 tell us a lot about the devil. Satan is crafty and cunning. He uses the enviornment to lure his victims. For many, the Devil will use drugs, wild sex, homosexuality, and many other things. Sometimes, Satan can be simply appealing to the mind. "C'mom Defender, everybody does it?" Consider the following temptation that was attempted on me recently. The following was written to me: "Defender, I have a challenge for you, I know you wont accept and if you do, you wont be honest about it. The challenge is this, don't go to church for one month. Don't be Catholic for one month.
Don't say any Catholic prayers, no rosaries, no hail Marys, no saints. Don't do anything Catholic for one month.
Instead, just pray directly to God. Seek him out, ask for his guidance. Fast and pray, pray only to God and in Jesus name only. Ask for truth.
Do this with a whole heart and you will find, after one month of not being Catholic, that you will never want to return to the RCC.

Planting The Good Seed The Good Soil “When a large crowd gathered, with people from one town after another journeying to him (Jesus), he spoke in a parable. A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path and was trampled, and the birds of the sky ate it up” (Luke 8:4-5).
This is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ as the sower of the seed. It is the Lord who is planting the seed so that all mankind might be saved.
Unfortunately for this group, the seed of faith does not grow.
They are carried away by every kind of strange teaching and are taken away to another master.
These are people who had heard the word of God but because of the many lures of the world, they easily fall into sin. “Some seed fell on rocky ground, and when it grew, it withered for lack of moisture” (Luke 8:6).
This group heard the word of God but does not have a foundation. They simply wither and die because their faith was not planted on fertile ground.
Psalms 1:1-3 says, “Happy those who do not follow the counsel of the wicked, Nor go the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers. Rather, the law of the Lord is their joy; God’s law they study day and night. They are like a tree planted near streams of water, that yields its fruit in season; Its leaves never wither; whatever they do prospers”.

Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones, when taking their lamps, brought no oil with them, but the wise brought flasks of oil with their lamps. Since the bridegroom was long delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight, there was a cry, 'Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise ones replied, 'No, for there may not be enough for us and you.
Go instead to the merchants and buy some for yourselves.' While they went off to buy it, the bridegroom came and those who were ready went into the wedding feast with him. Then the door was locked. Afterwards the other virgins came and said, 'Lord, Lord, open the door for us!' But he said in reply, 'Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.' Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour."

In the same way, the priest, having taken from the altar the Son of God (who is as the dew from heaven, and true son of Mary, flower of our humanity), gives him to you as delicious food.
St John Chrysostom: “It is not the man who is responsible for the offerings as they become Christ’s Body and Blood; it is Christ Himself who was crucified for us. The standing figure belongs to the priest who speaks these words. The power and the grace belong to God. ‘This is My Body,’ he says. And these words transform the offerings.”
St Maximilian Kolbe: “If angels could be jealous of men, they would be so for one reason: Holy Communion.”
