Join John Carpenter, Don Hartley, and the Deeper Truth research team as we go to Siekierki, Poland in 1943.  On May 3, 1943, Wladyslawa Papis, age 12, was returning home from praying at the cross when she saw Our Lady appearing above a cherry tree. The girl remembered that she had forgotten her sick uncle in her prayers, so she continued to pray, and Mary watched her and waited.
Our Lady appeared in Gietrzwałd from June 27 to Sept. 16, 1877. Two Polish peasant girls testified to seeing her: 13-year-old Justyna Szafryńska, coming home from her pre-Communion examination and, three days later, 12-year-old Barbara Samulowska, while praying the Rosary.
Samulowska experienced her vision at the foot of a maple tree in front of the church. She described Our Lady as seated on a throne among angels, with Jesus on her knee. When Samulowska asked who she was, she replied: “I am the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, the Immaculate Conception.”
Asked what she demanded of them Our Lady replied that they pray the Rosary daily. Among other questions were two: “Whether the Church in the Kingdom of Poland would be freed and orphaned parishes in southern Warmia would have priests again?” Our Lady replied that, if people prayed fervently, the Church would not be persecuted and those parishes would regain priests.
Those last two questions refer to the pastoral conditions that existed in 1877. In 1877, there was no such thing as “Poland” except in its peoples’ hearts. In 1877, It was part of Prussia and lay near the border of the “Kingdom of Poland,” which was simply the title applied to an administrative unit of the Russian Empire, devoid of any sovereignty. Prussia and Russia, together with Austria, had collectively gobbled up swaths of Poland’s territory between 82 and 103 years earlier; a resurrected Poland would not appear on Europe’s maps for another 41 years.

Stand In The Gap With Us And  Saint John Francis Regis 6/16/2024.  Born into a family of some wealth, John Francis was so impressed by his Jesuit educators that he himself wished to enter the Society of Jesus. He did so at age 18. Despite his rigorous academic schedule, he spent many hours in chapel, often to the dismay of fellow seminarians who were concerned about his health.
John Francis Regis, a 17th-century French Jesuit known for his zealous missionary efforts and his care for the poor and marginalized, especially at-risk women and orphans. St. Regis was born on Jan. 31, 1597, in southern France to a wealthy merchant father and a mother descended from nobility.
Following his ordination to the priesthood, John Francis undertook missionary work in various French towns. While the formal sermons of the day tended toward the poetic, his discourses were plain. But they revealed the fervor within him and attracted people of all classes.
Father Regis especially made himself available to the poor. Many mornings were spent in the confessional or at the altar celebrating Mass; afternoons were reserved for visits to prisons and hospitals.

Making a Difference Building Up The Kingdom.  Have you heard someone say something to the effect that their vote does not count, or someone say that they can't make a difference?
I have some friends of mine who would tell you differently.
One person who made a difference was St. Abran who was raised in Ireland in the 6th century. When his family packed up and moved to Brittany, he would cling to holiness and charity living the life as a hermit. Because of his example and testimony, all of St. Abran's brothers and sisters are regarded as Saints. St. Abran made a difference that was felt by the people around him.
St. Victor Maurus was born in the second century at a time when the Catholic Church was persecuted by the Roman Empire. He was born in Mauretania, modern day Lydia in Northern Africa. He was raised a Christian, but was enlisted in the Roman Army. He served in the Praetorian Guard which was an honor position.
Eventually, he would be arrested for his Faith. Even though St. Victor was an older man, the Romans tortured him. St. Victor made a difference in that he remained steadfast in the Catholic Faith despite severe torture giving his life in 303 A.D. St. Gregory of Tours spoke of the many miracles that took place at St. Victor's grave site which had later become a shrine.
St. Dionysius was one of the ten missionaries Pope St. Sixtus I had sent to Gaul. He was serving as Bishop of Vienne, France when the Pope needed a few good men. St. Dionysius made a difference answering the Lord's call. There are many examples where people made a difference in the face of persecution and the unknown. I like taking a look at the lives of the Saints because they made a difference despite their own limitations.

Stand In The Gap With Us And Saint Marguerite d’Youville 6/15/2024.  We learn compassion from allowing our lives to be influenced by compassionate people, by seeing life from their perspectives, and reconsidering our own values.
Born in Varennes, Canada, Marie Marguerite Dufrost de Lajemmerais had to interrupt her schooling at the age of 12 to help her widowed mother.
She married François d'Youville in 1722 and the young couple made their home with his mother who made life miserable for her daughter-in-law. She soon came to realize that her husband had no interest in making a home life.
Eight years later she married François d’Youville; they had six children, four of whom died young. Despite the fact that her husband gambled, sold liquor illegally to Native Americans, and treated her indifferently, she cared for him compassionately until his death in 1730.
Even though she was caring for two small children and running a store to help pay off her husband’s debts, Marguerite still helped the poor. Once her children were grown, she and several companions rescued a Quebec hospital that was in danger of failing.

Deepertruth Responds to the   of The 4 Persons Snake Pit On Medjugorje.  Vatican Excercist strong proponet of Medjugorje forced the Devil to confess
On February 11, 2013, exorcist Father Gabriel Armoth, forced the Devil to confess his diabolic plans for humanity and the Church.
Exorcist: “In the name of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, I order you to tell the truth about what is happening to the Church of Christ.”
Demoniac/Lucifer: Responds “This pains me. The mere hearing of her name is for me and for us demons an infinite torment. I do not want to speak, but the High Lady forces me to answer you lousy priest! The Catholic Church is under attack! The powers of darkness are unleashed against the Bride of what we hung on the Cross. That One up there is about to return to earth, I don’t know where or when, but I feel that day is very, very, very close.
I concentrate all my energies to channel my billions of demons against the Apostolic See. Corruption is not enough, greed for money is not enough, it is not enough to provoke scandals, a battle must be waged that has as its final result the destruction of the so-called Church of Rome.”
Exorcist: “In the name of Christ, tell me what do you want to do against the sweet Bride of God?”
Demoniac/Lucifer: “It is two thousand years since we fallen angels with the help of men of the Church and politicians we try to mortally strike that terrible invention of the Nazarene. Unfortunately we have not yet succeeded, because She belongs to the Almighty. But we don’t give up. We will continue to hit it, to make it bleed, we must come to occupy the throne of the Vicar of the One nailed to the cross. By hook or by crook. Whatever it takes. We are working to depopulate the seminaries, to close the convents.”

Stand In The Gap With Us And Saint Albert Chmielowski 6/14/2024.  Born in Igolomia near Kraków as the eldest of four children in a wealthy family, he was christened Adam. During the 1864 revolt against Czar Alexander III, Adam’s wounds forced the amputation of his left leg.
He was orphaned at age 8 when his father died and, 10 years later, by the death of his mother.  Chmielowski participated in a battle on 1 October 1863 in which a Russian grenade killed his horse and damaged his leg to the extent that it had to be amputated.
The injured Chmielowski had been carried to a woodman's cabin where Finnish soldiers allied with Russia found him. The captain recognized him since there were persistent rumours that Chmielowski evaded all gunfire and was invulnerable, but told him his leg had to be removed, to which Chmielowski is believed to have said: "Give me a cigar - that will help me pass the time". The operation went ahead, successfully though without anesthesia. He offered his intense suffering to God as he endured the excruciating pain.
In 1874 he became a well-known and popular artist in Kraków and worked as a painter until 1875.
His great talent for painting led to studies in Warsaw, Munich, and Paris. Adam returned to Kraków and became a Secular Franciscan. In 1888, when he founded the Brothers of the Third Order of Saint Francis, Servants to the Poor, he took the name Albert.
While working on an image of Christ, he had perceived a religious vocation and on 24 September 1880 he entered the novitiate of the Jesuits

The Hail Mary Prayer: Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death. Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
The Hail Mary prayer is the most popular Marian prayer.

It is the par excellence of intercessory prayer calling upon the Lord for supplication, petitions, and thanksgiving.

The Hail Mary is very central to devotions such as the holy Rosary and the Angelus.

To break down the Hail Mary Prayer, it is important to understand the biblical foundations.

The prayer of the saints have always been seen as important (James 5:16, Revelation 5:8, 8:3, and Hebrews 12:1) as well as intercessory prayer. Some argue that Jesus is the only mediator, advocate, and intercessor between God and man so they reject the intercession of the Saints. But that goes directly against the very character of God.

Stand In The Gap With Us And  St. Anthony Of Padua 6/13/2024.  Like St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony was born into a wealthy family, he would give all that up to follow Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  From age 15, he would learn the importance of finding the riches that God offers.
Psalms 45:13 teaches that the rich (in spirit) seeks Our Lady’s favor, where Our Lady is, there also is Our Lord.  Throughout the life of St. Anthony, he first sought to obey Jesus out of love for Jesus.
St. Anthony would join the Canons Regular of St. Augustine.  In 1220 A.D., five Franciscans that St. Anthony knew, were martyred by Muslims in Morocco which led St. Anthony’s desire to become a Franciscan.
Once a Franciscan, it didn’t take long before St. Francis would recognize the gifts that God was working through St. Anthony.
SAINT FRANCIS died on October 3, 1226. But shortly before his death, Francis appeared to St. Anthony. In September, 1226, at an assembly of Franciscan friars at Arles, St. Anthony was preaching “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”. As St. Anthony was speaking, St. Francis appeared in the room suspended in the air.
St. Francis was blessing the Franciscans gathered and blessed the work of St. Anthony. St Anthony became known as one of the chosen disciples and companions of St Francis. He would refer to St. Frances as his “Vicar”, “was preaching one day before the Pope and the Cardinals in Consistory, there were therefore present at that moment men of different countries- Greeks and Latins, French and Germans, Slavs and English and men of many other different languages and dialects.

Call No Man Father, Have You Ever Heard That Before?
"Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but they do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens hard to carry and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them. All their works are performed to be seen.
They widen their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels. They love places of honor at banquets, seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in marketplaces, and the salutation ‘Rabbi.’ As for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi.’ You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers. Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. Do not be called ‘Master’; you have but one master, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
Today's Gospel (Matthew 23:1-12) has a lot of ramifications as Jesus prepares to give his seven woes to the Pharisees and scribes (Matthew 23:13-29). These warnings are actually a fulfillment to a promise God gave Israel should they turn from the Lord (Leviticus 26:17-32).

Stand In The Gap With Us And Blessed Jolenta of Poland 6/12/2024.
Jolenta was the daughter of Bela IV, King of Hungary. Her sister, St. Kunigunde, was married to the Duke of Poland.  Jolenta was sent to Poland where her sister was to supervise her education.  Eventually married to Boleslaus, the Duke of Greater Poland, Jolenta was able to use her material means to assist the poor, the sick, widows, and orphans. Her husband joined her in building hospitals, convents, and churches so that he was surnamed “the Pious.”
As a young girl, Yolanda was sent to Poland to be tutored under the supervision of her sister, Kinga, who was married to the Duke of Poland.  During the time of her marriage, she was noted for her great services to the poor and needy of the country, as well as being a major benefactor of the monasteries, friaries and hospitals connected to them.
Upon the death of her husband and the marriage of two of her daughters, After his death in 1279 and the marriage of two daughters, Jolenta, Kunigunde, also now widowed, and Jolenta’s youngest daughter entered a Poor Clares convent.
Jolenta later became abbess of a convent she had founded with her husband. Also known as Helen of Poland and Yolanda of Poland, Jolenta and her third daughter entered the convent of the Poor Clares. War forced Jolenta to move to another convent where despite her reluctance, she was made abbess.
So well did Jolenta serve her Franciscan sisters by word and example, that her fame and good works continued to spread beyond the walls of the cloister. Her favorite devotion was the Passion of Christ. Indeed, Jesus appeared to her, telling her of her coming death. Many miracles, down to our own day, are said to have occurred at her grave.
